What you can encode in a QR code
A QR code holds any text, so the trick is using the right prefix for how a phone should act on it. Pick an error-correction level to match: L (~7%), M (~15%), Q (~25%), or H (~30% recovery). Higher levels survive damage or a center logo but pack in more modules.

Are these QR codes free to use?+
Yes. Every code is generated in your browser with no login, no watermark, and no expiry. Download it and use it anywhere, including commercially. Nothing you type is ever uploaded.
Will a styled QR code still scan?+
Yes, as long as there is enough contrast between the code and its background and you keep a high error-correction level. This tool defaults to level H (30% recovery), which is what lets rounded modules, dots, and a center logo stay reliably scannable. Always test with your phone before printing.
Can I add a logo or emoji in the middle?+
Yes, add an emoji or short initials and the tool reserves a clean area in the center. Keep it small (under ~25% of the code) and leave error correction on High so scanners can still read the code around it.
What can I encode?+
Anything text-based: a URL, a Discord or Slack invite, wifi text, an email, a phone number, or plain text. For a link, include the full https:// so phones open it directly.
How do I download it?+
