On desktop, open the user’s profile, right-click their avatar, and choose Copy Image Address. Paste that link here to preview it and download it in PNG, JPG, WebP, or (for animated avatars) GIF at any size. Discord has no public way to look a custom avatar up by user ID, so the image link is required.

Discord does not expose a custom avatar by user ID without an authenticated bot token, because the avatar hash is private. This tool never fakes that. Use From image URL for a real avatar, or Default avatar from ID to compute the built-in fallback image, which is derived purely from the ID.

It is the plain colored avatar Discord shows for accounts without a custom picture. Under the new username system the design is chosen by (user ID shifted right 22 bits) mod 6, giving one of six images. This tool computes that index from an ID and links the exact embed/avatars image.

The size query parameter accepts powers of two from 16 up to 4096 pixels. Static avatars come as PNG, JPG, or WebP; avatars with an a_ hash are animated and also offer GIF. Pick a format and size and the preview, direct URL, and download link update instantly.
